Meet the NikeCourt Tech Challenge 20

30 years ago, tennis superstar Andre Agassi made the Air Tech Challenge 2 an icon on the lawn. Famous for its lava pattern, the Air Tech Challenge 2 is an icon of its own, being retroed a few times and serving as an inspiration for the Air Yeezy 2’s midsole design. The hot lava colorway is so iconic, there was even a Lebron 16 colorway inspired by it.

This is the Air Tech Challenge 2 retro from 2016.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Air Tech Challenge 2, Nike (or should we say NikeCourt) revives the Air Tech Challenge in the form of the Tech Challenge.

The all-new tennis sneaker still comes with visible Nike Air cushioning but has been given a modern, more streamlined design while incorporating the Air Tech Challenge 2’s iconic hot lava print and color blocking.

The Tech Challenge will have an initial release on February 26 for Nike members and a wider drop on February 29.
