Fun fact: it is the author’s first UltraBoost ever

The UltraBoost line has been there for a good four years (and counting). There have been different iterations, various PrimeKnit designs, and several collaborations since its debut in 2015. For me, it took me a while before I decided to cop my first pair of UltraBoost (I was supposed to cop the “Targaryen” Game of Thrones collab, but I wasn’t able to get one in my size).

For my first UltraBoost, I decided to get the “Shanghai” from the recently-dropped City Pack collection. There’s much to like about this 2.0-based UltraBoost: you get a stealthy black and gray upper, a gold set of stripes on the lateral side of the cage, a dark gray colored midsole (to avoid those annoying yellowing problems), a grippy Continental outsole, and orange accents throughout the sneaker.

Being a first-time UltraBoost owner, it does live up to its expectation as arguably the best performance-oriented Boost sneaker to date. It is more stable than those used in NMDs and Yeezy Boosts, and the Boost used is arguably better as well.
