Sneakers made for Batman?

Do you think Air Max sneakers look cool when they have an ultra high, boot-like cut? While such reinterpretations can be more of a miss than a hit, this upcoming collaboration with Ambush stands out.

The collab makes use of an ultra-high cut ripstop shroud with an asymmetrical zipper that will remind you of Nike’s The Glove basketball sneaker. You get a large tonal black Swoosh on the shroud, along with a reinforced toe overlay and suede detailing on the heel counter to give it a premium look. Completing the look is an Air Max 180 midsole—best known as the first Air Max design with a visible 180-degree bubble.

While there’s no exact release date for these, we look forward to seeing them in person—and pray that our favorite shoe boutiques will have them.
