One can’t get tired of a classic
Whether you are an Air Jordan aficionado or not, you should know that there where a ton of Air Jordans that released last year. With 2018 being the year of the Air Jordan 3 (as it celebrated its 30th year), there were 18 different Air Jordan 3 releases. But that is a small figure compared to the number of Air Jordan 1s that released last year: according to The Undefeated, there were a total of 60 Air Jordan 1s released last year.
For the first three months of the year, there are eight Air Jordan 1s that released already. We expect more Air Jordan 1s coming throughout the year, and most of the time they are sold out in stores. Unlike the Air Force 1—which has definitely more models if you count the mids, lows, and highs—most Air Jordan 1s have considerably high prices in the resell market.
Is Jordan brand releasing too many Air Jordan 1s? Right now it is sustainable for the brand, and there are no signs of the popularity of Air Jordan 1s fading anytime soon (like what happened to the likes of the Roshe Runs and NMDs). After all, the Air Jordan 1 is an iconic sneaker: one that has been there for decades and is appreciated by sneakerheads of all kinds.
