The countdown to Air Max Day starts this month. Sole Academy kicked it off with two “Have a Nike Day” Air Max releases, and expect more to come in the coming days. Among the upcoming pairs you should watch out for is this new collaboration between Supreme and Nike. Both brands have collaborated several times and do well in giving life to lesser-known pairs. For this year, Supreme chose to work on the Air Max Tailwind IV.
A lesser-known Air Max sneaker from the late 90s, the Air Max Tailwind IV’s unique design is its ribbed mesh/synthetic upper, giving it a look that is radical during its time. For Supreme’s reinterpretation of the retro runner, you can choose between their classic white/red or black/blue colorways. Both get a textured mesh with reflective details along with premium leather overlays. Supreme branding is found on the lace holder, heel, and insole, keeping things subtle for the much-awaited collab pair.
While there is no chance that they will drop locally (like any Supreme collabs), you can try your luck in copping them once Supreme releases them together with their Spring/Summer 19 collection.
