Thank you, Kanye

When Kanye West said he wanted Yeezys for everyone, he really meant it. While there’s no arguing that the Yeezy hype is NOT dead, we are quite happy that you can actually buy Yeezys now without resorting to the resell market. Case in point? If you visit the adidas website, there are a few bae sizes of the “Cream” Yeezy Boost 350 V2 up for sale. That’s a good thing, considering that the Creams restocked a few months ago and that there are a few pairs still available up to now.

Yup, we are not kidding.

It does not end there, as the upcoming “Salt” Yeezy Boost 700 will have a wider release locally. According to a list released by Hypebeast, all branches of Commonwealth PH, all branches of Sole Academy (including their Cebu branch), and select adidas Originals stores across the Metro will be allocated with several pairs.

While naysayers would argue that the 700s are expensive (they retail for Php 16k—expensive for an adidas sneaker but “affordable” for a high-fashion shoe), the fact that the Three Stripes is making more pairs mean that they want their customers to have a pair at the end of the day. Win-win, right?

Overall, this is a great move for adidas in making the Yeezy brand accessible to everyone. Happy Kanye + happy sneakerheads = happy community.
