You may not be completely aware of this, but Puma does make basketball sneakers. While most of them are under the radar, their latest silhouette gained a lot of attention after Golden State Warriors star Demarcus Cousins debuted them on the court.
Called the Uproar, Puma’s new basketball sneaker comes with NRGY cushioning on the heel, along with a dominant mesh upper layered with synthetic overlays. if NRGY does not ring a bell, Puma’s cushioning tech is their response to adidas’ Boost tech. While the principle is almost the same (they are both made in conjunction with the chemical company BASF), they have a different approach to cushioning.
Going back to the Uproar, Puma will be officially launching it this All-Star Weekend with this mismatched “Charlotte” colorway where the dominant teal sneaker has orange accents on the left pair and purple accents on the right pair.
The “Charlotte” Uproar is slated to drop on February 16 for $130(~Php 6.9k). No word if they will drop locally.
