Welcome to the future!

Looks like we will be seeing more self-lacing shoes in the coming months. Nike has released their third iteration of the self-lacing sneaker with the Adapt BB, and Puma will be releasing their own version with the Fit Intelligence.

Unlike the Adapt BB, the Fit Intelligence is geared towards runners. Its lacing system is like a modern version of Puma’s Disc system, where a micromotor takes care of the smart lacing feature. It is similar to the Adapt BB as the Fit Intelligence has an accompanying app where you can make specific adjustments based on different scenarios.

The Fit Intelligence is set to be available by 2020. Those who want to join the beta test may visit Puma’s site and sign up via the PumaTrac app.
