Bred with a twist

There’s no doubt about the Air Jordan 1’s significance in sneaker culture: from being Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker, the Air Jordan 1 created notoriety for being banned in the NBA. To celebrate over 30 years since the sneaker defied NBA uniform regulations, Nike is slated to drop a “Defiant” Air Jordan 1 OG.

Said to be inspired by the rebellious attitude of Nike, the “Defiant” Air Jordan 1 sports a premium black leather upper, accented by a red stripe that gives reference to its “banned” reputation. Speaking of craftmanship, the all-leather upper is inspired by luxury Italian sports cars according to Nike.

The Air Jordan 1 OG “Defiant” is slated to drop on February 23 for $175(~Php 9.2k).
