Air Foamposite One + Zoom Vapor X = One strange-looking sneaker

While our favorite sneaker brands make hit sneakers one after another, that does not stop them from crafting oddball sneakers that do not look right—at least in the sneakerhead perspective.

This upcoming model modifies the Zoom Vapor X Tennis sneaker by incorporating a Foamposite One upper that is retooled to give it a lower cut and slimmer look. To complete the Foamposite One vibe, it comes with a translucent outsole and a carbon fiber plate for rigidity and stability.

This is not the first time we have seen a basketball x tennis sneaker hybrid: there’s the Zoom Vapor RF X AJ3, which is executed better than this Zoom Vapor X Foamposite sneaker. If you ask me, I hope Nike does not push through with this model. Should they decide to pursue this oddball sneaker, I hope they go back to the drawing board and think of a different design.
