Fans of retro runners will like this
While adidas has been focused in releasing new silhouettes using their modern-day cushioning tech like Boost and 4D, the German brand pulls off a retro surprise once in a while. Their latest surprise? The re-release of the ZX 4000 as part of adidas Consortium line. Released originally in 1989, the reissue version stays true to the OG, from the suede materials used to the Torsion cushioning system and color blocking.
The ZX 4000 OG is special because it came at a time where running shoes are rapidly evolving. It is the forerunner to adidas’ EQT line in the 90s, which as we all know is adidas’ hit running sneaker line during that era.
