It will be Vince Carter’s go-to shoe for the rest of the NBA season

Looks like everything about the 2000s are making a comeback: aside from SB Dunks being cool again, Nike is bringing back the iconic Shox BB4. Last seen in 2012 with the “Olympic” and “HOH” colorways, the Shox BB4’s return is made special as Vince Carter will be wearing Player Exclusive (PE) versions for the rest of the NBA season.

The Shox BB4 will forever be associated with Carter with the “Dunk of Death”: the memorable moment during the 2000 Sydney Olympics where Carter leaped over Frenchman Fredric Weiss for a slam dunk:

“The success of the dunk started the legend of the shoes. But I myself went to another level with them, too. I became a star player in the BB4,” Carter said.

Paying tribute to the Shox BB4’s association with Carter, Nike will be retroing the iconic basketball sneaker in three colorways: the classic “Olympic” colorway, a white/red colorway to match Carter’s team colors with the Atlanta Hawks, and a white/gold colorway.

All three colorways have a special touch at the back of the tongue, where you have Carter’s old Nike Shox logo. Expect all three to drop in 2019.
