It’s all about the basketball culture

Going into the month of November, Nike will be holding a month-long celebration of basketball culture with Battle Force Manila. With the iconic Air Force as the source of inspiration for the event, Battle Force Manila will a series of activities that include basketball, dance, rap, and art.

Personalities like Katrina Guytingco, Thirdy Ravena, Gab Valenciano, AC Lalata, Loonie, and Kayo Cosio will lead participants through a series of videos in refining their talent in basketball, dance, rap, and art. There will be a culminating activity where finalists will showcase the result of their hard work, grit, and determination to be the best in each category.

There will be Hyper Court training sessions for female ballers, along with tributes to the Air Force 1 through the vision of the Blank Canvas Collective–comprising of Kayo Cosio, Lari Gazmen, Jade Suayan, and Quiccs–and an exclusive Air Force 1 design for every Friday for the whole month of November.

“With Battle Force Manila, Nike celebrates how the game has influenced the culture and lifestyle of athletes, artists, dancers, and musicians; on and off the court,” Nike Philippines Country Marketing Manager Jino Ferrer said. “With the talent and influence of local iconic personalities, the reimagining of the Air Force 1 alongside our call-out for a stronger participation of women this season, we aim to invoke self-expression while pushing boundaries of ambition and creativity.”
