A Quick Run with the Air Zoom Pegasus 35

We get to try out Nike’s latest all-around runner!

Prior to the reopening of Nike’s flagship store in Bonifacio High Street, the Swoosh held a running event where participants try out the Air Zoom Pegasus 35. The latest iteration of the Pegasus sports a full-length Zoom Air unit encapsulated with Cushlon foam. For the upper, you get a Flyknit-like cut-and-sew design that hugs your foot well while providing enough breathability.

Yours truly behind the scenes during the running sesh with the Nike Running Club (and before the insane 1KM speed challenge)

Part of the night run was a 1KM speed challenge, where you sprint your way in completing 1KM at the shortest time possible. Despite not running for months, yours truly clocked in at 6 minutes and 19 seconds. Not bad at all, considering my size.

Just imagine how my legs felt after completing the challenge.

The Air Zoom Pegasus 35 performed well during the time I wore them for the run, and I appreciate how its version of Zoom Air is more responsive compared to previous iterations. The Air Zoom Pegasus 35 fits snug, but it was necessary for keeping my feet stable during the run itself. It may not be as light as Flyknit Racers or Epic React Flyknits, but the Air Zoom Pegasus 35’s weight is just right.

For its Php 6,295 asking price, it is a good deal for those looking for an all-around running sneaker.

Anyways, here’s a quick video of the program and snippets of the run itself:
