Avantgarde Football Fashion imagined by two of the top luxury house designers

To celebrate the love of football, Nike collaborated with Virgil Abloh and Kim Jones—two of the top luxury house designers of this era—for two unique collections.

Virgil Abloh’s “Football, Mon Amour” collection takes inspiration from the OFF-WHITE principal’s love for football during his youth. Key pieces in the collection consist of a checkered jersey that has a nod to the Czech Republic uniform, and a Flyknit Zoom Fly with dots on the boot to signify optimal zones for striking the ball.

On the other hand, Kim Jones’ “Football Reimagined” collection is inspired by the idea of DIY during the London punk era of the late ‘70s. Kim Jones combined avantgarde tailoring—all handcrafted in Italy—with sport tech, creating a new look for football wear.

As for the shoes, Kim Jones combined the elements of three of his favorite Nike shoes—the Footscape, the Vandal, and the Air Max 97—into one sleek sneakerboot.

The “Football, Mon Amour” collection launches on June 14, while the “Football Reimagined” Collection launches on June 7. Both collections will be available at NikeLab Dover Street Market Singapore.
