A new twist to Boost tech

While adidas has been pretty busy releasing new, non-Boost equipped silhouettes with the Deerupt and Kamanda, the Three Stripes are back with a new Boost sneaker in the Solar Boost. An entirely new line, the Solar Boost makes use of data-driven Tailored Fiber Placement inspired by NASA engineering for optimal support, along with Parley material to make the sneaker eco-friendly.

Other features of the Solar Boost include an 85% Boost midsole with a StretchWeb outsole and a new tech called Energy Rail. The latter sounds like an evolution of adidas’ Torsion system, where it claims to improve stability while keeping the Solar Boost light at 295 grams (for a Mens’ size 9 shoe).

Two colorways are expected to drop once they hit retailers in the US on May 17, and globally on June 1. The Solar Boost retails for $160 (~Php 8.3k). Don’t forget to check out the teaser video below:
