Meet the VaporMax 97

Fusion runners are not new to Nike. Previously, we talked about how cool it was for the Air Max 97 and Air Max Plus to have a sole swap, thus creating two new models. Admittedly, they looked dope in Easter colors, and that being said, we were curious at what Nike will be coming up with next.

This time around, they used the sleek upper of the Air Max 97 together with the futuristic design of the VaporMax sole, and the result? Equally dope runners!

If you plan to cop these fusion Air Max Runners, there are two colorways to choose from. First is the “Japan” colorway, inspired by a regional-exclusive Air Max 97. This one is dressed in black, silver, and neon green, with the neon green VaporMax sole being its standout feature:

Next up is a clean “all-black” colorway, which has 3M panels hidden beneath its tonal black look:

Should these drop locally and you plan to cop them, expect to pay $190(~Php 9.9k). They are pretty expensive, but admit it: They look hella cool.
