adidas Yeezy BOOST 350 Oxford Tan, Paul Smith Socks

No Need to Buy Fake

Kanye West’s Yeezys are quite possibly the most overhyped sneakers today. Due to the limited quantities that they’re produced in coupled with the “hype”, the resale price has skyrocketed to insane heights. The going rate for the first generation Yeezy BOOST 350s are usually over Php50,000. That’s a whole lot of cash for a pair of kicks.

The obscene resale prices combined with the difficulty of snagging one at retail is turning people to check out “fake” Yeezys on Instagram and malls (like the tiangge section in Greenhills). However you don’t really need to go fake. There’s a fantastic alternative to the Yeezys that are far more affordable — the adidas Tubular Doom Sock Shoes.

Sells for less than Php6,000

The Tubular sneaker has a lot of similarities with the look for the Yeezys such as the laces and the upper. The glaringly visible difference is white midsole but you can actually get a monochromatic one by going for the Tubular Doom Sock Shadows. They also have a black version which reminds me a lot of the Yeezy 350 BOOST Pirate Black.

Here’s the Yeezy 350 BOOST Oxford Tan

Like what we mentioned in our review of the Yeezy BOOST 350 V2 Zebra, they only make sense if you can get them at retail price. If you’re just after the look without the insane price tag that goes with Yeezys, check out the range of adidas Tubular Doom Socks at the nearest adidas store.
