From New York to Manila

Founded in Madison Avenue in New York, Pony is an iconic and pioneering athletic and streetwear brand that has seen massive global success. Last week they did another first by collaborating with Don’t Blame the Kids, a Filipino streetwear brand, for a line-up of sneakers to be sold here in Manila. Pony worked with them to redesign the ’85 City Wings and the ’78 Shooter.

The PONY x DBTK ’85 City Wings is leads with black textured leather and suede uppers, a white leather chevron, and classic gum sole bottoms. The heel tabs show embossed logos of PONY and DBTK. It retails for Php5,795 and limited pre-orders will get you an exclusive PONY x DBTK shirt and a nylon drawstring bag. You can order it here.

The PONY x DBTK ’78 Shooter has the suede leather in deep black and subtle perforated chevron logo with heels tabs featuring the classic DBTK character logo from the Pinoy brand’s early days. It retails for Php3,590 and you can get it here.

If you ask me, the PONY X DBTK ’85 City Wings is a must cop. I’m placing an order as I write this.

Congratulations to DBTK and PONY for the successful collab!
