Last November 12, 2015 Ferrari launched its latest fragrance target towards men with intense passion – brash, bold, sensual and incessant in his pursuit towards excitement: Ferrari Man In Red.
Ferrari Man in Red celebrates, according to the press notes, everything that is Ferrari. The launch event is a clear indication of that.
Announced and formally launched in Revel at the Palace Pool Club, Ferrari Man in Red celebrated in luxurious style and extravagance.
Stunning venue, celebrities and personalities aside, the highlight of the event was when Ferrari had these babies rev-up!
And really, part of the appeal of the new Man In Red is the Ferrari-like heavy glass flacon it’s encased in
Heavy glass bottle, Ferrari-red lacquered paint and grooves resembling the classic sport car, Ferrari Man in Red is a modern take on the more classic (and formal) bottle designs of Scuderia and Essence.
With a more fun, and vibrant-attitude, Ferrari Man In Red skips the refinement of some of the other Ferrari fragrances like their Essence line and opt for powerhouse scents that would get you noticed quickly.
Like the loud revving of the 458, Man in Red opens with a bang of sweet fruits and spicy nuances. Zesty bergamot, juicy apples and spicy cardamom greets you before the scent settles and relaxes in a bed of soft flowers as Lavender, Orange Blossom and Plum take hold of the fragrance. After a couple of hours powdery cedar meets with ambery labdanum and creamy Tonka to form Man in Red’s base.
Take note, this fragrance is VERY sweet and quite unlike the usual men’s fragrance out there. No marine or fresh qualities here, folks. Everything is fruits, sweetness and a touch of gourmand (thanks to the Tonka).
While it’s a hard fragrance to wear everyday (due to its potency and cloying potential), Man In Red shines as a club-scent; something that announces presence automatically and something that can survive prolonged heat, sweat, and smoke.
In my opinion, Man In Red is something a young man can appreciate more than a seasoned gentleman. The notes, composition, bottle formation and even scent performance is very in-your-face and a more seasoned man might find this a little bit too contemporary and modern. What it lacks in sophistication, Man in Red makes up for performance. Projection and silage of this juice is pretty impressive. Longevity is a little bit above the 6 hour mark as well. All in all this is a decent scent to pick up for gimmicks and the occasional weekend wasakans at Palace Pool Club or whatever trendy new night club you and your friends should crash in.
Ferrari Man In Red is available at the Fresh Scent Bar for Php 4700. However, they are having an introductory price promo and will be slashing off 20% from the SRP bringing the price down to Php 3650 for a 100ml bottle.
