Our recent article, 5 Things Pinoy Do Abroad That They Should Do in the PH Too, racked over 1,000 shares in less than 24 hours. We also got a lot of high quality and fantastic comments and suggestions that we should add to our list. We’ve compiled some of them in this follow-up post.

VI. When in the MRT/LRT, Fall in line and enter in an orderly fashion

HK's train can get crowded but people usually are very orderly and organized in getting in and off.

Hindi lang elevator but pati na din ung LRT/MRT. Those waiting in line (if there’s a line at all) barge in the same time people inside get off. Talagang tulakan! When riding mass public transport, commuters often crowd around the doors. In other countries like Taiwan and Hong Kong, papasok sila sa loob para mas mabilis ang entry and exit ng mga tao. -Kendrick Chua

VII. Throw trash in the trash bin/can and not just anywhere
Our fellow Filipino citizens should learn to throw trash in trash cans. I observed many Filipinos don’t do that at all. Even the kids would just drop candy wrappers pretty much anywhere. I really hate it. Parents should teach this to their kids. -Jake Alvarez

To add on the list-No littering; cleanliness in your own backyards! -Gil Tiu

Use thrash bins. Some of us still think we can just throw basura anywhere as long as it’s outside our cars or homes. -Tina Cabanayan

*Note from Editor: We went up to Tagaytay last night. There were a lot of Starbucks papercups littering the porch of the Starbucks in Summit Ridge. Bad trip since there was a big trash can just less than a minute walk away.

VIII. Leave a decent tip when eating in restaurants

Leaving a proper tip when going out at a restaurant. C’mon guys our servers are hardworking just like the rest of us. It’s common practice in Toronto to tip 15% or more. -John

And there you have it. Thanks again everyone for reading the original piece. Please do keep the comments and the suggestions coming and we’ll add them to this post.

Happy 2015!
