Parks and Reproduction in Madrid, Spain

By December 28, 2014 No Comments

Let’s go to the park
I wanna kiss you underneath the stars
Maybe we’ll go too far
We just don’t care,
We just don’t care,
We just don’t care.

From the Song PDA by John Legend

When Mich and I were in Madrid we wanted to check out all the different parks scattered throughout the city. We heard that they all had fantastic monuments, great big trees, and huge fountains (even lakes). One thing our research didn’t tell us though was that parks in Madrid are actually major PDA destinations. As in it was common to see couples rolling all over the grass kissing and hugging.

For example, kindly note exhibit A.

My wife and I were in Plaza de Espana, a beautiful park with a fantastic monument of Don Quixote. While the statue was great and all, what really grabbed our attention was love fest going all over the park, hehe. Note the photo above. The foreground and main focus is Mich. However we accidentally included a very happy couple at the background!

We really don’t have any complaints about it. We were just kinda culture-shocked a bit but eventually we got used to it and finally got around to not minding the different couples all around the park. While walking around though the song PDA by John Legend just kept playing in my head, haha!

Anyway, here are a few photos we took of the park:

So there you go. If ever you do decide to go park-hopping, just be prepared to encounter lots of PDA especially if you come around early evening. You will definitely feel (and see) the love in the air! 😛
